This shoot was inspired by my love for the ocean and my love for island life. My husband and I use to live on an island and now that we live in Utah we sometimes really miss the water.
Brides, just because you don't live near the ocean doesn't mean you can't bring the beach to your wedding in a very beautiful way.
A huge thank you to Alta Moda Bridal and Decoration Inc for making this shoot even better than I could have imagined!
Gown One: Melissa Sweet, Alta Moda Bridal
Gown Two: Amy Kuschel, Alta Moda Bridal
Flowers: Decoration Inc
Model: Erica Nichols
Polish: OPI - Sand In My Suit
Location: Bonneville Salt Flats

I met Tricia, Ian, and their son, Josh, in downtown San Diego for their engagement session. Tricia and Ian work for the same company and met at the first practice for their biotech co-ed softball league. They are San Diego Padres fans so they thought it would be fun to have their session at Petco Park...and just happen to be friends with the head groundskeeper there. They also wanted an urban look for their session so we ended in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Tricia, Ian, and Josh...it was so nice to meet you! I can't wait for your big day! It sounds like it will be amazing!

(07.23.10 @ 08:50 AM)I just saw this on the Southern Weddings blog and was floored. I have been dreaming up ideas to create my own bridal shoot and thought, "how in the world am I going to do this on my own?!" You have given me the inspiration that I can see my vision to fruition...beautifully done!
